Advertising with BDNE

Belly Dance New England is the longest continually-published belly dance site in New England. Since 1998, it has been the primary source for class, event, and teacher listings, as well as articles by and about the New England belly dance and music community. Belly Dance New England is public and does not require membership to view site content. This means that everyone can see everything - listings, fliers, ads, and events.

Why should you advertise on Belly Dance New England? For starters, we make use of the latest social media to get the word out about you and your events:

• Your events are published on the BDNE events calendar. This is a Google calendar and can be shared with other sites.
• The events calendar has an RSS feed that publishes to Twitter. Every event published on the calendar is automatically tweeted to all followers of the BDNE Twitter account. In addition, people subscribe to the events RSS feed to get updated events information by email.
• BDNE has a presence on Facebook. All events posted to that page are seen by all FB followers; BDNE advertisers are welcome to post their news and events to the BDNE FB page, as well. Everything posted to the BDNE FB page is automatically tweeted to the BDNE Twitter account.
• BDNE sends out occasional Constant Contact newsletters to a mailing list of over 500 recipients.

Your yearly advertising fee ($25/year) includes:

• Your contact information and photo listed in the BDNE Teachers directory
• Your detailed class listings, organized by state and community, on the Classes page
• Workshop and non-restaurant performance event listings in the Events calendar
• Your event fliers are posted to the slide show on BDNE's front page; the flier is linked to your Web site.
• Update any of your information at anytime - just send me an email.

Banner ads

You may also choose to promote yourself, your classes, or goods with a banner ad. See banner ads on the Classesand Vendor pages for examples. Your banner ads should be at least 150 dpi and be in .gif or .jpg formats. Ad size options are 120 x 120 pixels, or vertical rectangle 120 (w) x 240 (h).
